The solution to jogwheel problems with vinyl mode enabled

Hi, I can’t remember the exact part but it was something installed inside the jog wheel, others may know the exact part.

@Fabio_Melo

Try this trick to see if it works for you.

If it works, it likely means your unit has an internal grounding issue, likely related to a few faulty MOSFETs. (See my previous posts on this thread.)

Hi @Gaian thank you so much for your help!

I will try look for local assistance here in Brazil.

I tried the trick and don’t work :frowning:

But you give me a great direction to talk with local assistance!

Has any of the anti static stuff I suggested worked? It could be your shoes, clothes, a rug on the floor.

or sourcing a quality surge protected extension lead to plug it in to?

No! Also I bought a new energy cabo with grounded.

I hope you can find somewhere to get it repaired :+1:t3:.

The Prime 4 and 4+ have a jog wheel recalibration option, unlike the Prime 2.

Can you try touching both the problematic surface of the jog wheel and the metal part of the mixer while recalibrating from the touchscreen?

I know it’s a bit tricky, but it’s worth a try.

Done, but do not work :frowning:

Check this mosfet (yellow),three TVS (blue) and jumper (red). Replace if needed.

This is a photo of the right deck, you can find same parts on the opposite side.

Thanks @Bobius_Yo Good to know that it’s possible to replace only the MOSFETs. I will check here in Brazil if the services centers will repare it.

Thanks for the information in this thread. I got around to replacing the MOSFET on the right platter today.

It worked well so far, but unfortunately I only had one MOSFET with similar specifications here (2N7002) , so the sensitivity is now slightly lower, meaning you have to press a little harder on the platter.

I have now ordered the successors to the ones mentioned above from Mouser El.

But so far it’s working again without the familiar problem, which unfortunately has now happened twice. The first repair was still covered under warranty. After about two years, however, I unfortunately experienced the same flickering again.
