Here is the measurements.
The platter diameter is 215mm at the base.

The platter is the same size as the 6000m only the taper is different. 8in taper for the 6000m and a 7 1/4 taper for the rane one.
The base is exactly the same.
The led ring on the 5000m gets in the way.
This has been discussed before and someone already put it to the test awhile ago
Yea, I believe you’re correct. The base for the 5000m is exactly 8" oppose to 8.5" on the 6000m. Won’t fit properly.

I’ve been using the same number I used to get my Numark parts years ago.
Been thinking about adding those control discs to mine as well with the 12inchSkinz’s spindle adapter.
How are you liking it? How is the drag/pull back on scratching vs the original vinyl? Does it feel better?

The OG control discs warped in sunlight, so got some used singles…30 mins of digging and 4euros later. One White. One Blue & some Phase stickers

I think i still have some colored vinyls from when i had my 5000Ms, IIRC the guy that bought them from me didn’t want them.
If you want them drop me an email with your addy and ill post them to you once i dig them out of the loft.

Hi Everyone, I’m getting the 5000 and wanted to get a bigger control disc. The 10’s serato would be perfect for scratching but I don’t want the thing to look too disproportionate. Anyone knows if the 6000 8’ control disc fits on the 5000?
I just posted my custom 12InchSkinz SC6000M vinyl in the “Last DJ Related Item You Bought” thread. But, then, I found this thread after some searching. I think Y’all would appreciate what I have customized, and the work that the peeps over at 12InchSkinz put out for me.
I chose to mimic my Yoyaku Slipmats, but added a little customized twist to them. Now everything is all ‘matchy-matchy’.

My old 5000m`s are the green vinyl ones at post start, these are my 6000M’s
Managed to find some 8inch clear vinyls and cut down 12inch glowtronic slipmatts. I must say I don’t like the newer quick release on the 6000M’s and prefer the alloy assembly on the 5000M.

I realy like the Rane one platter on the 6000M @Ravinstomper. strobe spots…lovely.
Ohh a DJM 2000 NXS with two SC6000M,
This is one of my two setups, except that I have a djm 2000 and not a 2000 nxs but apart from a few cosmetic changes they are the same machine.
