SC Live 4 in combination with drum/sample

There isn’t a stand alone mode. You can see from the photos that it has no audio output.

Good remark! OK, I will have a deeper look at the sp404…

I got a reply from Nektar…

Hi, Thanks for your interest in Nektar Aruba.

Sorry, the Aruba and Denon SC Live4 are not compatible.

Please let me know if I can help with any other questions.

Regards, Debra Benham

That definitely makes the choice clearer… But after 3 hours of yt, I still don’t know :exploding_head:

Try looking at the Ableton Move!!

OK,

I almost made up my mind… I think I will go for the Akai MPC Key 37. Not only a nice sampler, the same as the Akai MPC One +, but also has a keyboard and I think I like that extra feature… I will go to the supplieer next week to have a look and feel… Any comments from you guys?

What comes to my mind is the extra size.

If you’re mainly going to be layering drums, percussion or general samples, then the One is smaller and easier to manage. You can always plug in a small USB keyboard for the occasional musical interlude.

If however you’re a musician and will be playing the keys regularly then go for it.

I was just about to say what PK said - if you can play the keys then go for it - it is a solid unit and will serve you well! If not then consider the One(One+) for the smaller form factor! (or an akai force?)

I will still fly the flag for the SP404 and Ableton move - the move integration is pretty simple and you get 4 synth tracks to play with …

Ok, well I chose the key 37… Geez, this thing has a lot of possibilities… But I will get my head around it sometime soon :joy::rofl::joy:
