I have the same problem, it seems that the whole thing no longer works on older Mac systems. The last running version is 4.0.1 !!! 
4.1.0 crashes and only reports ‘was terminated unexpectedly’. 
You don’t need to open a bug report here. It takes time for someone to help or it gets waved off. So people who use MacOs in version 12.7.6 (Mojave), please install 4.0.1 at most, otherwise nothing will work.
I’ll try a downgrade now and see what the database says.
