As already mentioned in the previous analysis, the problem here is firstly analog drums, i.e. a human and so on.
In DJ Pro, however, this is balanced out by the BPM jumping back and forth from 127 to 133.4 and then 132.2 up and down again.
And that’s a good thing considering how important the accuracy of the bead grids is. a lot of things are based on it. For example, light shows that don’t run on the beat or stems that don’t really fit together and so on.
Here you urgently need to either buy, license or develop them yourself.
I even have to say that professional use is not possible without massive manual input. But Denon DJ is actually too expensive for that.
I’m really hoping that other DJ software companies are paying attention to what Algoriddim has done, how well it’s gone down with DJs, and are working on their own versions.
Engine fonctionne à peu près avec les fichiers house et techno. Bien que parfois il y ait des grosses erreurs. Mais pour TOUT le reste, c’est une catastrophe. Disco, funk, reggae, ska, pop, rock, new wave, soul, blues, salsa, bachata, kizomba…
Aucune grille n’est exacte. Cela veut dire toute la musique des années 50 à 2000. Car même les titres house des années 90 ont parfois des gros problèmes d’analyse. Pour un open dj qui joue tous les styles et qui par conséquent a des milliers de fichiers, cela veut dire passer des milliers d’heures à corriger !
On n’a qu’une vie et la passer devant son pc, c’est inacceptable et inenvisageable.
Pour un dj de salle de bain qui ne joue que de la mauvaise house et a 200 titres max sur sa clé usb c’est pas grave.
Mais pour ceux qui veulent analyser toute leur collection ??
Après avoir déjà passé des centaines et des centaines d’heures à faire ça, j’ai finalement abandonné. Découragé et dégouté. Je mixe désormais à l’oreille, comme à mes débuts en 1979 ! Mais à la base, je n’avais pas acheté un Prime4 sophistiqué pour me retrouver à mixer comme il y a 40 ans sur mes 1200 mk2. Je trouve incroyable, avec tous les progrès techniques et l’intelligence artificielle, que les développeurs ne soient pas foutus de sortir une technologie d’analyse qui colle au tempo.
D’autres pourtant y parviennent manifestement…
Je me sers encore du Prime, j’aime cette machine mais mes yeux regardent de plus en plus ailleurs.
Personally I prefer to DJ like on the SL’s, but I would still like to have my collection analyzed perfectly and automatically.
However, imo, DJ’s will become extinct and AI will take over. Playing, choosing and mixing songs at a party will be done by an algorithm in the not too distant future.
Agreed Reese, been saying this for a while now. DJ Tech demands/hunger is sleepwalking us all into unemployment.
Somewhere online there are ‘DJs’ demanding the automation of just about every aspect of mixing, choosing music, arranging music, the phrase ‘be careful what you wish for’ has never been so important.
