# Tidal Beatgrids

Hi guys, I just wanted to ask if someone also has problems with the Tidal beat grid analysis on Engine OS (Prime Go in my case)

Before I subscribed to Tidal today, I was playing with local drives and some Beatport tracks without problems.

I did some small live-stream set - and to my horror, nearly all of the analyzed tracks had a wrong beatgrid. Sometimes its not even on some beat and most times it is moved by 2 beats. Beatport streaming works WAY better in my opinion.

Is there anything we can do, to get better analysis - and also better BPM predictions? Sometimes they are also WAY off from the correct BPM - after analyzing the BPM seems to be right but as I said - not the grid.

After that stream I canceled the subscription, for me this is unusable. Never had such bad experience with Beatport or even Soundcloud.

If you have any suggestion I can try let me know

Same here! And not only on Tidal, but also on Beatport. However, I noticed a distinct difference between genres. Techno analysis is almost always spot on. House and Minimal is almost always 1 beat off. Very frustrating.

I also noticed that there is a great difference between analyzing a track on the deck or on Engine software on PC. The latter is way better.

I recommend that you use the forums search facility for “off” bpm readings and “off” beadgrids.

Sometimes bpm and Beatgrids are analysed “not quite right” - that’s just the way it is - the Beatgrids can be adjusted manually and the decks have significant beat grid editing controls
