…I turn the power on even after shutoff, It reboots right back up until I either unplug it or turn off the power source, in my case it’s a power strip. I already plugged the unit directly to the wall but get the same result. I updated the firmware manually to see if that has an effect but no. My next thing is leave it unplugged for a day to see if it completely discharges all of the capacitors in the unit. I had an issue with my Prime Go+ that the touch screen didn’t respond, so I let that sit for a week before powering it back on and it worked. Now the Prime Go+ is back up and running. I am testing it to see if it happens again. Any thoughts on the sc6000? Oh yeah I also pressed the power button multiple times to see if that does something but no…

This started to happen after the last update 5.0.4. To add my other sc6000 kept asking to shut down while I was playing. Very annoying…but now that’s working fine…Gremlins?

That makes sense for a Prime GO+, since it has a battery that needs to be drained, but the SC6000 doesn’t have one. You only need to hold down the power button for about 30 seconds to discharge the capacitors.

However, I’d suspect an issue with the button itself rather than a firmware problem.

I’m pretty sure I’ve read posts about a similar issue involving a faulty power button.
