When spending $2500 USD on a device, you’d expect:

  • Capable software
  • Software integration

InMusic dropped the ball - in an incredulous manner. Nearly 8 months after release Rane SystemOne has minimal 3rd party support and Engine DJ is lackluster, at best.

It doesn’t matter how much money you spend if device has another primary purpose.

Maybe a Rane Performer would have been fit for a DJ that wants to have all software perks?

Have you ever heard about “constructive criticism”.

So when you find a problem you give detailed information about it and also what would be a solution.

Your post is the opposite to that :rofl::rofl: Can you give more details of what you think is fu@*ed up with rs1 and engine, and what could the solution be?

Yes it’s the (thankfully minority) post where the poster brain dumps some random, stroppy, toys out of the stroller, headlines. And then “Cryptic Karen” runs off to hide, not backing up the headlines with any substance.

But except for Beatgrids…what else?

And lets be honest - The Rane System One is a standalone system, so I’m unsure what you need for integrations, except those that there already is

  • Spotify (waits, that’s missing on all standalone devices on all manufacturers (even if another manufacturer is falaly claiming it’s available)

Please correct me if I’m wrong…

A. You can already manage your engine library in Lexicon, right?

B. Tidal, Beatport, SoundCloud works on RS1, right?

C. Maybe one day, if Alpha-Temu dont have a clausul

D. SoundSwitch works on the RS1, right? (And therefore also Nanoleaf and PhilipsHue)

I dont have the RS1 (yet) so maybe there is some things I’m missing.

exactly Al those integrations already work. With the exeption of Spotify. I guess if AlieTemu releases an update for Spotify it’ll also swiftly be available on the EngineOS models with DRM functionality (RS1 and the Plus models)

It’s gotten active in here..

For 3rd party support, it is mainly DJ software:

  • Virtual DJ
  • djay Pro

Sadly, Engine DJ is chalk full of bugs. Every time attempting to give it a chance, something fails and it doesn’t pass a stress test to use with confidence.

Yesterday’s Bugs:

  • Loop is looping off beat. It’s slightly off the beat grid.
  • Browse playlist “glitches” to top when scrolling
    • Using the knobs, Engine will jump back to top of the playlist, randomly
      • This happens around every 8-15 seconds. It’s intermittent and unpredictable.
    • I have a video of the bug but I’m unable to:
      • attach the video to the post directly
      • include a link to the video

The premise of Rane SystemOne is incredible. I purchased to support the idea. Hoping innovation and development start matching that.

This should have been the initial post (although I understand what frustration can do). Have you opened support case at InMusic or your seller?

Have you activated Quantize?

Regarding the scroll, I dont have an answer/ solution - except make a bugreport on it, so the devs can respond to it.

I would love to have Apple Music on sc6000

I use tidal but my day2day music streaming service is Apple Music, and for expiring new music and curated playlist ( eg DJ essential charts ) their team is superior to Tidals team.

Unfortunately the SC6000 doesn’t have the required DRM chip for Apple Music, so it will never get it.
