Bought a new prime 4 about 4 weeks ago. I have to say its a awesome piece of kit. It works flawlessly apart from the beat grid adjust has stopped since I did the 2.01 update. I was wandering if anyone else had similar issues. Its just alot of anyised tracks seem to be off and need adjustment slightly as they seem to start in the middle of the first bar, I know it can be done in engine dj but I plan on starting out in bars and would love this to easily done on the hardware.
Nothing should have changed regarding the grid adjustment on the console. Have you tried to check if maybe your track has the grid locked (lock visible in Engine DJ)?

I’ve seen this pop up around the forum for some users and reanalysing in Engine Dj seemed to fix it for one person.

Thank you. I’ll have a double check to see if any tracks we’re locked, then I’ll reanalysis the lot. It might take over 24 hours but it will be worth it. There’s around 30 thousand tracks.

I’d do a few of the problem tracks first and see how it works out and if it’s better then go for the whole collection.
I think a reanalyse is always a good idea if you’ve not done it for a while as there were improvements a few versions ago which could help.

That definitely makes sense. I’ll reanylise a few of the tracks and see how it goes. I only anylised the collection when I bought the prime about 4 weeks ago but I’ve since updated to 2.01. Mabe that could of caused the issues.

That’s not too long ago then but it will be interesting to see if it works.
Initially Engine DJ does an analyse which is great if you trust the tags. If you then reanalyse the tracks it will do a deeper scan and often give better results.
It is definitely worth trying it on a handful tracks first that you know are problematic.

Sounds like its probably best to just analyse the lot again and definitely worth the wait. I’ve nothing else planned for the night so I’ll just leave to engine dj while I sleep. It should all be done by the time I’m home from work tomorrow evening.

Done a complete overhaul. Completely re anylised my whole collection and formated my internal ssd. Then I did the 2.0.2 update on both the laptop and prime 4 and added them back using sync manager and all is looking good.

Fantastic. Hopefully this is a more robust library now. The reanalyse option really does do wonders to a collection sometimes. Glad it helped.

Thank you @MrWilks its looking a lot more tidy now. Ill give it a good working out at weekend and give the neighbours something to dance ( complain ) about.
