Hi everyone, I recently updated my SC Live 4 to Engine DJ 4.3.4 and I’m having trouble with the library layout. Currently, my track list is stuck in what looks like an “Expanded View”. Each track takes up two rows, showing the Track Preview Waveform, Artwork, and Track Number. This clutters the screen and makes it hard to read titles, even with the text size set to “Large”.
I want to return to the Compact View (single line per track) without tracks previews, where I can see just the Title and Artist in large letters, similar to how it worked in versions prior to 4.x.

I have tried looking for a toggle button in the library header but it seems to be missing or replaced.

Is there a specific setting or a hidden gesture in version 4.3.4 to disable the dual-row/expanded layout and go back to a clean, single-line track list?

I just found a YouTube video from 2022 , showing exactly what I want to achieve. In that older version, there was a dedicated Layout Toggle button (highlighted in green in the screenshot) that allowed for a clean, single-line tracklist with large fonts, without the preview waveforms or album art taking up space.
On my unit with version 4.3.4, this layout seems impossible to find. My screen is constantly cluttered with track previews as shown in my previous post.

Has this single-line “Compact View” been removed in version 4.x?

With the new layout on the SC Live 4, you can find the toggle button on the top with the double A. This will toggle between the big and small letters.

The waveforms only appear when the playlist tree auto-hides. This can be toggled here. Don‘t expect longer track titles, though. Spacing could indeed be optimized further here and thete in Engine‘s GUI, though since v4.0 I am overall quite happy.
My only major gripe, especially as Engine Lighting user, are the removed mini-waveforms at the botton, which we had prior. This seemed a downgrade for the sake of ‚cleaner‘ asthetics, and I hope we can get them back.
Yes, they need to return! Especially necessary when using dual layer w/ lc6000
