Flew to my gig now my account/Go+ is restricted?!?

So I just bought a Go+ while in Canada for some gigs I had coming up in Central America. I flew in to Belize a few nights ago to have a bit of a break and get to known the Denon/Engine setup. First show is tonight and last night my InMusicBrands account was restricted and the Go+ removed from my register products list. Chatbot says account has been restricted, support ticket created for somebody to get back to me Mon/Tue, sorry about your gig mate, nothing it can do. I’ve logged in/out, tried using a VPN, tried re-registering (serial number incorrect), all to no avail. What exactly do IMB think people do with their ‘travelling’ stand alone setup when they are going to disable it remotely the first time you get on a plane, then say ‘sorry, we don’t work weekends’ - are they really trying to be a credible alternative to Alpha-Theta/Pioneer? More a rant before my lawsuit and negative review campaign lol but if anyone here has any suggestions or a way to contact somebody who can help, I’ve got about 12hours till my set time…

So you’re saying the unit has been crippled and can’t play ANY music off a USB or streaming service?

Yeah that would be my first question as well. You don’t need an account to use the device with local music.

Prime Go works pretty well with djay Pro. If all else fails, that may be a workaround.

Im not sure what functionality you miss when you can’t connect to the inmusic account.

Apart from the single Sign on into streaming services. But due to geo restrictions from record labels and governments I won’t trust streaming services at all

@Ben-E has a very good point. Plus, as others have said, the Prime Go should work without login for your local music on USB. If you’re trying to use streaming music, djay Pro isn’t likely to work either, as the restrictions are from those services.

Well thats the trouble when you simply rely on streaming your set over creating a USB of music.

Lesson learned perhaps

Sue InMusic for it lol :joy:

Well didn’t expect this to blow up quite so much, it was more just venting after several hours of frustration dealing with the Chatbot, but I figured I better give you guys an update… No the machine wasn’t bricked, but it did kick me out of all streaming services, but I was able to get Soundcloud Go+ connected (which I do use a fair bit for underground remixes and bootlegs and have not encountered any geo blocking after playing on 3 continents - but I play GOA, so not much mainstream releases) but did have problems with Beatport, which I figured out was because I’d activated the trial that came with the Go+, which was cancelled/blocked when my account was restricted… this took a while to figure out what was going but I resolved it by pulling out the credit card and subscribing, rather than trying to use the trial, ditto with SoundSwitch, but wasn’t planning on using Engine Lighting this gig.

Initial thoughts on EngineDJ and the Go+ are pretty good, but Engine lags behind DJay Pro in a number of areas, (as do Serato, Traktor & Rekordbox TBF, all of which I’ve used over the years) in a bunch of areas, most noticeably in stems, but a full review will come after a few more gigs when I’ve used it a bit more. I’m most disappointed you cannot switch between standalone and computer mode without rebooting it, I was really hoping this could be the single unit we could take to afters - or pack out into the jungle for a rave, that we could seamlessly switch between DJs using usb or computers, but it looks like that’s just not the case, which is a real missed opportunity I think…

aA for the gig, it went pretty good all things considered, but I was pretty nervous things might ‘■■■■ the bed’ due to it being connected to the Internet (I always bring a small wifi access point to gigs to improve access, but most of my music was on an SD) or just not being burned in yet, having just receiving it last week, but nothing untoward happened and the Go+ is very solidly built. Got another show on the 27th so I’ve got a few days to get to know it better… oh, and my account is still restricted, no word from IMB as yet.

Thank you for the update!

:poop::backhand_index_pointing_right:t3::bed: is my favorite technical term.

That’s a regional thing not a Denon thing. But glad had a good gig.

So just a quick further update, support reached out to me finally and they said could not find an issue with the account, however little by little functionality and specifically the ‘registered products’ frame returned little by little, first on Firefox Mac OS, then Safari, then a day later to my iOS device, so I suspect their web Deb team were rolling changes from Friday night that they thought would not have any impact, and by the following Wednesday everything was working again. It does not explain why I got kicked out of all my streaming services (I logged into them here in Belize, so it’s not a region thing, they all work fine here), unless the web dev work reset the links with my InMusic account. Anyhow I though I’d share the update, hope everyone is having a chilled holiday break, I’ve got another show this Saturday so looking forward to giving the Prime Go+ a bit more of a workout. Cheers.
