Engine DJ (macOS Sequoia) Can’t Access Wi-Fi Library on Denon SC5000

Hi all,

I’m having an issue getting the Wi-Fi library to show up in Engine DJ on macOS Sequoia when trying to connect to my Denon SC5000.

Both the Mac and SC5000 are on the same Wi-Fi network, and the macOS firewall is already configured to allow Engine DJ. The SC5000 can see and access the Wi-Fi network without any problems, so it doesn’t look like a connectivity issue.

The problem is that Engine DJ on the Mac cannot access or display the Wi-Fi library at all, so the SC5000 never sees it as an available source through the network.

Details:

  • macOS: Sequoia

  • Engine DJ version: 4.3.4

  • Hardware: Denon SC5000

  • Firewall: Engine DJ allowed (incoming connections allowed)

  • Network: Both devices on the same Wi-Fi

  • Issue: Wi-Fi library does not appear in Engine DJ, so SC5000 cannot browse it over the network

I’ve confirmed that:

  • SC5000 connects to Wi-Fi normally

  • Engine DJ runs fine except for Wi-Fi library access

  • No obvious network restrictions on the router

Has anyone else had issues with Engine DJ Wi-Fi library not initializing on macOS Sequoia? Is there a new setting, permission, or system-level restriction that needs to be enabled for this to work?

Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I had the same after installing sequoia, and found out that network access for engine dj was disabled in the privacy and security settings in osx. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum @Yamnakichi ! Have you tried to see how things work via a wired network? Just one of those things to check up on.

Thank you for this suggestion ! It worked after toggling the local network for Engine DJ app.
