Denon SC live 4 turntable

Hey. My left turntable stopped working. It responds to the touch (pauses), but doesn’t advance the track. When I unplug the button, the vinyl doesn’t respond at all. I recently updated to 4.3.3. Is this a coincidence or a technical issue? If this happened after the update, how do I reset it?

Try doing a factory reset 1st, and see if problem persists.

I did a reset, but it didn’t help. Installing 4.3.2 also didn’t help. I guess I need to open the device up?

Do you have a foil on the jog wheels?

What does foil have to do with it? The sensor works! The jog track won’t rewind! What needs to be fixed?! Are there instructions on how to disassemble the controller?

The foil on the jog wheel has a lot to do with touch sensing. From your explanation it looks like touch sensing has interference. From experience I can tell you, that all touch sensitive jog wheels need to have clean surface during boot up, due to internal touch sensitivity calibration. If something is on the jog wheel during the initial calibration process, your touch sensing will be working abnormally or not work at all. That’s why first thing to do is - take off the foil and clean the jog wheel. Make sure it’s clean and dry, then boot up your device and wait till it’s fully ready. Then test the jog wheels touch again.
