Bluetooth audio and xlr audiocable together

Hello,

I have a question about using Bluetooth. I have an EV Everse 8 speaker, which works great with a Denon 4 + via Bluetooth. However, I often use it to supplement the sound of an outdoor space, when I am indoors at that moment. And here is my problem and question for you. In the indoor space, I have the main HK Polar 12 system connected to my Denon via XLR cables and an outdoor speaker via additional XLR cables. I would like to get rid of the cable that leads to the outdoor speaker, which is sometimes 20 meters long, and connect the Everse 8 speaker via Bluetooth, but at the same time have XLR cables connected to the main input (I know that the outdoor speaker would have a delay, but in this case I don’t mind), however, the sound output prioritizes the sound output only with the XLR input and the Bluetooth sound turns off. I don’t want to buy additional Bluetooth things that I would connect to the outdoor speaker and connect to the Denon, when both devices have this support. I know it’s not possible at the moment, but my question is, would you mind enabling this setting in the next upgrade so that you can connect both bluetooth and xlr audio together?

Thank you

I think the big issue is going to be whether Bluetooth can be trusted as a professional carrier for 20 meters ( sixty feet ) - add walls, windows, people randomly swanning about, other signal influences and it’s going to be dreadful. And that’s aside from both the Bluetooth delay and the physics based audio delay of sound propagation (about 70ms for 20 meters in summer air temps)

You might have to abandon Bluetooth as a distant outdoor solution and consider the more WiFi based audio TX/RX

A colleague of mine has had quite good results using an HDMI tx/rx system for about £400 ukp and using breakout cables to only send/receive the audio parts of the hdmi signal

Depends on the class of the used BT devices we can get certain lengths. But with bigger distance, comes more possibilities for digital noise, dropouts, interference… I would never trust BT for professional scenario. Audio streaming over WiFi is also considered a no go for pro audio / stage use.
