I am having a problem with the beat of a lot of the songs just being slightly off. The beat grid is right and matches with the visual beats but the actual beat is either slightly behind or slightly in front. It is happening on so many tracks and it is really frustrating. If you sync the songs, the beat is completely off. Even once I have edited the beat grid and made sure it cues at the right point, it does the same thing.
I was running a mc6000 with traktor and never, ever had this problem, all the songs were spot on.
Is it a setting somewhere that I am missing? I dont want to have to manually beat grid 10000 songs in my library
I had something similar happening when I was organizing my tracks in Engine DJ on my laptop using Bluetooth headphones. There was a several millisecond delay in hearing the audio which then made the gridding look out. Not sure if this is relevant to your case?
I re-analysed the tracks in this specific folder and exported them again
Afrika (Beatport mix) - Timbee
All of ME (De Hofnar Bootleg) - John Legend
Another one bites the dust - nu disco extended) - Paul Jockey, Dannie Mercury
Not one of them lines up and goes completely off when synced. I have to manually beat mix by ear.
It raeally shouldn’t be this hard. Im not sure how to readjust the setting or analysis.
Tested directly with beatport on my Prime 4+ and the waveform is not aligned with the sound.
Something is wrong with that song, I will download the song later and re-test with the purchased song.
The beat grid looks normal, phases are in but when you sync them, the songs are a tiny bit out as can be seen on the beat bar.
These 2 tunes are Block and Crown - Dont go and Camelphat - Cola. Pretty standard tunes
As @mufasa said. It almost always fixes any grids that are out for me.
The first-pass analysis uses the BPM that resides within the tag etc as it trusts it is all good. The second-pass analysis uses Engine’s own beat detection. This generally improves things.
