Always Played Tracks highlighted in Green

I would be very happy if already played tracks were displayed or highlighted in green again. Just like with 1.6.2! Without having to always switch to the history folder.

I played two gigs this weekend. One using the P4 and the other using my SC5000M’s. I’m on the current firmware 3.2.0 on both and all worked fine for me.

Are both OS and Desktop engine versions up to date?

If you upgraded firmware from 1.6.2 to latest versions 3.2 you may have to update your desktop engine and export to external media again

@EMTEE are you in a history or in Files when you experience this?

The behavior of green marker for played state is very inconsistent at the moment. This is summed up what happens around the OS on local players:

  • Playlists toggle played state after 30 seconds to green in list and auto update list
  • Prepare toggle played state after 30 seconds to green in list and auto update list
  • Streaming services toggle played state after 30 seconds to green in background, but do not always auto update list and therefore are not shown rightaway. You will have to exit the playlist and return to the list see the track marked green.
  • History does not show green played state at all anymore (since 2.0)
  • Files does not show green played state at all
  • Tracks with total duration shorter than 30 seconds will not be marked green as played ever (I think they should when played over 75% for example)
  • Tracks played under 30 seconds will not be marked green as played

It’s high on my wishlist that this becomes a consistent list with mark as played on all places!

Sure thing! History too, since a lot of DJs use older history lists as a reference for their current set

Also I’ve heard of the Engine Database2 becoming corrupt and not logging a track as played. Does this happen on all sources you plug in?

I installed a hard drive in my Sc6000. All tracks ran without problems at 1.6.2 and all tracks played after approx. 30 seconds marked in green. Since Update 2.0, this function is no longer there. I think that’s a pity. You can only see the played tracks in the history list but not in the folder List File list. It would be much clearer and easier if the tracks played were marked in green or red everywhere.
