# 5.0.4 possible bug: EngineDJ library no longer accesible over wifi

After updating to EngineOS 5.0.4 on my SC5000 players, I can no longer access the EngineDJ library from the players over wifi. I checked, they are of course on the same network, I updated EngineDJ to the latest version, players also on the latest version.
EngineDJ just does not show up in the sources menu anymore. Anyone else have this issue?

you on a Mac or PC, I updated everything and my MacBook still connects the library over wifi

look around or google what you may need to do to allow access again, a few nights ago i got a popup after an OS update to let Engine connect to devices on network so may be related

Yeah, I’ve been looking at the network access and firewall settings. EngineDJ has full network access on my Mac.
edit: EngineDJ 5.0.0 on my MBP 2018 with Ventura (13.7.8) works fine. It seems this is an issue with the developer beta for MacOS 27. I will try to find a fix for that, for now I am using the other mac to access the library over network. Thanks.
edit, edit: MacOS 27 Developer Beta 5 fixes this network issue, EngineDJ can connect to EngineOS devices again over local wifi! So that’s fixed.
Lesson learned: maybe don’t use developer betas on your main machine, even though they might seem 99% stable 😉
